Logo design trends 2026: data from 1,300+ curated logos

What do today’s logos actually look like? Instead of predictions, this report measures the 1,382 logos curated in the Logosystem library: which types, colors, typefaces, shapes and backgrounds designers use most. Every number below is computed directly from the catalog and updated daily.

Key findings

  • 54% of the logos are combination marks and 35% are wordmarks; lettermarks (1%) and emblems (<1%) are rare.
  • 81% of logos use sans-serif lettering, against 3% serif and 3% script.
  • 83% are tagged minimal and 79% geometric, making restraint the dominant aesthetic.
  • All-uppercase lettering (32%) is more common than all-lowercase (9%).
  • 73% of logos use a single color; the most common non-neutral color is green (10%).
  • 25% of logos use negative space as part of the mark.
  • 32% are presented on a photo or mockup and 12% on a gradient; 59% sit on a dark background.
  • Tech is the most represented industry (61% of logos), and 8% of the library is animated logos.

Methodology

  • Sample: 1,382 logos (1,270 static, 112 animated), all public logos in the Logosystem library as of November 7, 2026. Sponsored placements are excluded.
  • Tagging: each logo is tagged with AI-assisted analysis of its image (type, layout, colors, style, shape, mood, background), then reviewed through manual curation.
  • Denominators: each percentage is based on the logos that carry that kind of tag (for example, layout shares use the 1,270 static logos with a layout tag). A logo can carry several style, shape, mood, color or industry tags, so those shares can add up to more than 100%.
  • Scope: this is a snapshot of a curated, design-led library (often digital products and studios), not a random sample of all logos in the world, and not a year-over-year comparison.
